According to Howard, Bethesda usually makes tweaks to the engine of their games with every release, but with the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield, Howard has revealed that Bethesda has invested heavily into improving it and has stated that they are doing an overhaul to their game engine, calling it the largest they've ever had.
